PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The POA assists the operative team by executing various tasks that result in a clean, orderly and safe environment for patients. Functions of the job require attention to detail and a dedication to always observe safety measures and follow hospital policies. Must possess ability to accept and follow direction while also being willing to speak up for any safety concern. Must follow all policies for patient identification, transport, transfer, and cleaning/disinfecting.

Perform cleaning and turnover of surgical suites according to policy in an efficient manner

Transports, transfers and assists with positioning and prepping of patients in a safe, efficient manner under the direction of the operative team/leadership.

Assist in setting up all equipment related to surgical procedures as deemed competent

Transports specimens/blood/supplies

Maintains supplies and storage areas in an orderly and clean manner as assigned

Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding any situation which could impact patients, visitors, staff or equipment

Perform other duties as assigned by Surgical Services Managers and/or Director
