Current BCLS certification required within upon hire.

Current ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Current PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current license to practice in the state of New Hampshire.

EXPERIENCE:

One year Medical/Surgical nursing experience or 6 months of emergency room or critical care nursing experience preferred.

PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Emergency Services Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room with acute/primary care and emergent medical needs. The population served is pediatric to elderly adult. The staff nurse provides care using the nursing process; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care needs. Establishing nursing practice based on current standards of ambulatory and emergency nursing care. The staff nurse must be able to recognize and establish priorities and set objectives and goals for work assignments and patient care delivery. Maintains competency in using medical equipment. Complies with hospital, nursing department and unit policies and procedures.
