Job Details
Perform various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Work performed in accordance with established protocols, guidelines, and accreditation guidelines.
Testing in laboratory disciplines of coagulation, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, blood banking, and serology.
Accurately record specimen identification information and test results.
Participate in ordering of lab supplies to assure unencumbered functioning of the laboratory.
Perform arterial blood gas analysis in the absence of the Respiratory Therapist.
Assist in outpatient / in-patient phlebotomies, specimen processing, non-patient registration, and requisition checks.
Job Requirements
3 years CURRENT MT / MLS experience - Required
MUST HAVE PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE / ABILITY TO DRAW BLOOD - NON-NEGOTIABLE
ASCP Required - EQUIVALENT CERTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
High proficiency with coagulation, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood banking and serology - REQUIRED
EPIC EMR experience - REQUIRED
Travel experience - Preferred
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY!
Schedule Information
Shift accommodations will not be considered for this need (Block Scheduling, etc)
Local travelers (those who reside within 50 miles of facility) must be uploaded at a 10% reduction in hourly rate.
Unit Specific Information
Tech may be the only person on during shift.
