Pool is forming to accept eligible applicants for entrance into the Multilingual Programs Leadership Pool. The pool includes applicants who are interested in becoming an ESL Specialist elementary/intermediate), ELD Interventionist (elementary/intermediate), and ESL Department Chair (middle and high school). Only applicants accepted into the pool can apply for vacant ELL leadership positions.

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university
- Valid educator certification and highly qualified status for the position advertised (grade appropriate)
- Valid ESL or bilingual certification (grade appropriate)
- Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience as a teacher of ELLs
- English proficiency (oral and literacy skills); Bilingual preferred but not required
- Multiple grade level experience required (Elementary)
- STAAR Grades teaching experience required
- Trained in ELPS, TELPAS and Sheltered Instruction. All applicants must be SIOP trained.
- T-Tess: Proficient or above
- Knowledge & understanding of Language Development and Best Practices for instructing ELLs
- Instructional leadership skills and experience
- Knowledge & understanding of the district’s Bilingual Education Program (elementary and intermediate)
- Knowledge & understanding of the district’s Dual Language Program (elementary, intermediate and middle school)
- Knowledge & understanding of the district’s ESL program
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, DMAC, Excel, Powerpoint, & Schoology
- Experience teaching reading and completion of Reading Academy.

2024-2025 Salary Schedule
2025-2026 Salary schedule with 3% of midpoint increase approved by the Board. Salary schedule soon to be released.
