Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting and installing appliances while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism in all aspects of delivery operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck to deliver and install products to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload goods using a dolly and/or shoulder straps
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages as required, maintaining proper lifting techniques.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any discrepancies.
- Help with recruiting new delivery teams and training to company standards
- Handle scheduling of teams at location
- Handle PM servicing of trucks and build relationship with truck rental company
- Handle claims in area
Skills
- Proven experience in route driving and appliance installation is preferred.
- Ability to operate box trucks, dollies, and shoulder straps effectively and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as needed.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
