The position requires weekend availability, as inventory orders are due on Sundays, and regular travel between locations to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Inspect and monitor stock levels across all restaurant locations to identify shortages or surpluses.
- Record and reconcile daily deliveries and shipments to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Use R365 to input inventory data, maintain accurate records, and generate detailed reports.
- Devise and implement strategies to optimize inventory control procedures and reduce waste.
- Purchasing Operations:
- Place inventory orders based on demand, avoiding stockouts or overstocking.
- Ensure product availability for all distribution channels and customer needs.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to maintain strong relationships and efficient order fulfillment.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data to forecast future needs and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Generate and present reports on stock levels, purchasing trends, and potential issues to upper management.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Visit multiple restaurant locations to work closely with managers, chefs, and other staff to understand inventory needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Act as a point of contact for resolving inventory-related issues and discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, or a related field, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., R365) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and anticipate inventory needs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple locations and tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Availability to work weekends and travel between restaurant locations.
