As a quality technician, you’ll be responsible for performing manual measurements and dimensional checks using gages and other high-tec measurement equipment, including CMM machines.

Your day will go something like this
Here’s what you’ll be asked to do as a quality engineer.
- Reviews the job related information. (Part drawing, CMM programs, etc.)
- Prepares workplace and CMM machine for next task
- Performs manual measurements and dimensional checks using gauges, etc.
- Utilizes CMM machines for measurements
- Archives measurement data in electronic format
- Retrieves and provides reports to Team as needed
- Supports change-over activities of manufacturing for an earliest first ok part and confirmation for series production
- Perform inbound inspection per work instructions
- Perform outbound inspection per work instructions
- Segregates unacceptable material from acceptable material.
- Supplies unacceptable material to review table
- Provides inspected and confirmed parts to next process step
- Enters data from Material Review Process and tracks paperwork
- Communicates quality issues to Quality Engineer as needed
- Maintains work area. (5S)

Education and/or experience
- Associate’s degree in a technical field, i.e. through community college
- Five years’ experience in manufacturing
- Operating CMMs
- Experience with Calypso software preferred
- Experience in lean manufacturing
Language skills
- Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
Reasoning ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
