What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Helper position at ALIGN PRECISION?
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Projects
- Assist with work projects to ensure timely completion with minimal disruption to production.
- Carry out maintenance activities with production schedules to optimize equipment availability and productivity.
- Work with other maintenance personnel and ensure work assignments are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in Preventive Maintenance Programs:
- Assist with carrying out preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance tasks are performed regularly and documented accurately.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and implement improvements to maintenance programs.
- Assist with Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Assist maintenance technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Participate in the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment as needed.
- Ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely manner and meet safety and quality standards.
- Participate in Inventory
- Assist in the maintenance department's inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Maintain adequate stock levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Demonstrate a culture of safety and participate in regular safety training and inspections.
- Report any safety incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Learn to use the maintenance management software to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and equipment a plus
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well on a team.
- Some knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in various environmental conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Good manual dexterity and vision for working with small parts and tools.
