What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Supervisor position at ALIGN PRECISION?
Directs and coordinates manufacturing activities by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors or staff. Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating them to employees. Organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules. Managing production schedules for customer delivery requirements and utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
- Check production output according to specifications.
- Submit reports on performance and progress.
- Coordinates and monitors manufacturing projects from initiation through delivery.
- Identifies and allocates project resources.
- Serves as liaison between manufacturing and non-manufacturing departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
- Acts on order releases action and exception messages from the company system.
- Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
- Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Resolves issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
- Monitors and maintains department productivity and budgets.
- Manages the work efforts of supervisors/individual contributors.
- Displays broad knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills.

Education and/or Experience
- Associates degree; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. .
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
