Job Title: Director of Sales and Marketing 
Location: St. Louis, Missouri 
Department: Sales and Marketing 
Compensation: 70% base salary, 30% performance bonus. Market competitive. 
Travel Requirement: Up to 33% 

Job Summary 

Align Production Systems is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing to lead and energize our sales and marketing team. This role is critical to driving our commercial success by overseeing sales, estimation, application development, post-delivery services, and marketing functions. 

With over 50 years of engineering innovation, Align Production Systems is a leader in material handling and automation for industries such as aerospace, automotive, construction machinery, electrical and other general heavy manufacturing. We specialize in custom production solutions for heavy industrial segment —planes, trains, transformers, stamping, cable, construction, agriculture, and automobiles—while pioneering advanced Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. Our solutions are designed to seamlessly integrate with customer operations, enhancing efficiency, safety, and productivity.  We design, we manufacturer it, and we support it!

Key Responsibilities 

Create Clarity 

  • Lead and manage a North American remote sales team, ensuring strategic alignment and clear direction across all markets. 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that transforms complex goals into actionable steps. 
  • Ensure collaboration and shared understanding across sales, marketing, estimation, and post-delivery teams to align efforts toward company objectives. 

Generate Energy 

  • Cultivate an environment where teams excel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 
  • Inspire a mindset of "it can always be done better," driving institutional intelligence for smarter, more effective decision-making. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive customer satisfaction from initial contact through project completion and beyond. 

Deliver Results 

  • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and consistently delivering solutions that customers love. 
  • Oversee marketing efforts to create campaigns that resonate with target audiences, build brand presence, and generate leads.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). 
  • 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with proven leadership of remote teams. 
  • Experience in cross-functional leadership, including sales, estimation, application development, and post-sales support. 
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven success in simplifying complex strategies and driving impactful results. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, data analytics, and marketing automation platforms. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in industrial or capital equipment sectors. 
  • Strong knowledge of the North American market and customer needs.
