TECHNICIAN - WELDING

As a Welder and Fabricator, you will fabricate mild steel, aluminum and stainless-steel welded assemblies, following blueprint and customer specifications, in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule: First Shift // Day Shift // 8 hours

• Monday thru Friday with opportunity for overtime

What You’ll Be Doing…

• Works in safe, efficient manner following all safety regulations.
• Limited supervision, managing schedule to complete tasks timely and without defects.
• Participates constructively in team's continuous improvement efforts.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together components.
• Performs detailing, layout, and preparation of parts prior to Fabrication.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Performs all required fabrication and welding operations.
• Performs rework and salvage procedures.
• Deburrs and cleans product prior to job sign off.
• Maintains ability to fabricate equipment per Align's high quality standards.
• Keeps accurate labor records.
• Performs material handling duties, including operation of forklift and overhead hoists.
• Maintains clean and productive work area using Align's 5S principles.
• Miscellaneous duties as directed by Fabrication Lead or management.
• Utilizes training to provide flexible support in other departments on an as-needed basis.
• Travel to customer sites for field service as needed.

• Works in a safe, efficient manner following all safety regulations.
• Manages time to complete tasks timely with no defects and minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measure.
• Participates constructively with team in continuous improvement efforts.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites as needed for field service.

Technical & Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 5 years of related hands-on welding experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solidworks/Draftsight experience preferred but not required.
