What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for a driven and passionate Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to help us develop and expand our business presence in the Southeast Region. As our Southeast TSM, you’ll play a critical role in driving sales and expanding our customer base in this territory. You’ll be the face of Align Production Systems, building and nurturing relationships with past, current, and future clients. Your goal is to gain a full understanding of their unique needs, then deliver our tailored solutions that accomplish the desired positive impact.
What to expect from a day in the life
- Develop Relationships - Build personal rapport with customers while gaining insight into their unique business model and operational needs.
- Drive Sales & Opportunity Management - Own and drive new business development while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Qualify sales leads, track opportunities, and manage them through the entire sales cycle.
- Customized Solutions - Collaborate with engineering teams to develop customized material handling and automation solutions that meet unique customer needs.
- Proposal Creation & Negotiation - Work with our Estimating Team to draft, edit, and submit equipment proposals, while negotiating the terms and conditions of sale to secure deals that benefit both the customer and our company.
- Order Processing & Coordination - Work closely with engineering, accounting, manufacturing, and shipping teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and maintain an up-to-date CRM system.
- Industry Engagement - Partner with Leadership and the Marketing Team to attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events, staying ahead of industry trends and building your professional network.
- Collaborate with Marketing - Partner with the Marketing team to develop sales collateral and promotional materials that resonate with your clients.
- Technical Expertise - Gain in-depth knowledge of our products, their features, and benefits. Use this knowledge to provide product demonstrations and technical solutions in a simplified manner.
- Achieve Results - Regularly meet or exceed revenue and margin goals, contributing to the overall success of the Sales Department.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a proactive, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong mechanical aptitude. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Education & Experience - A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience. A strong technical background and mechanical aptitude are critical.
- Sales Aptitude - A natural ability to ask compelling questions, and negotiate, with a focus on building and nurturing customer relationships.
- Technical Knowledge - Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Mechanical Aptitude - Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to explain how equipment operates within real-world applications.
- Multitasking & Time Management - Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
- Tech-Savvy - Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and experience with CRM tools like HubSpot.
- Adaptability & Learning - A willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, products, and industry trends.
- Industry Engagement - Comfort with travel, attending trade shows, and actively engaging in industry networking activities.
