This position is ideal for a 3D equipment maintenance professional to join the Research and Development team as a 3D Print Equipment Maintenance Specialist, driving pilot line repairs and preventive maintenance of state-of-the-art equipment. Partnering with manufacturing and engineering teams, you’ll utilize advanced knowledge and experience to creatively solve problems and develop innovative solutions. This position plays a crucial role in sustaining, and continuously improving, Align Technology's pilot line repair and maintenance programs, thereby driving the success of new product initiatives.
Role expectations
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to provide comprehensive support for various 3D printing technologies.
- Manage and perform preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repair of 3D printing and post processing equipment, ensuring 100% adherence to PM schedules.
- Oversee the equipment calibration program, maintaining 100% compliance with calibration schedules.
- Analyze equipment using various techniques, determine the best tests for specific scenarios, and independently decide on actions.
- Document procedures and prepare technology transfer protocols for large-scale production.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure operational capacity and enhance device performance.
- Implement troubleshooting and calibration procedures, ensuring continuous uptime of 3D printing technologies.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
- Address issues with meticulous attention to detail.
What we're looking for
- Education: Associate’s degree in an engineering technology preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of experience with 3D printing technology.
- Experience in a 3D printing production environment.
- Knowledge of multiple 3D printing technologies.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a highly functioning team.
Complementary skills
- Certifications in 3D printing machine operation or repair.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
- Strong MS Office skills.
