The Business Analyst, Biomechanical Software, will be part of the Product Innovation (R&D) team in the Raleigh, NC office. In this role you will drive, write, and manage requirements and support releases of cloud services and user-facing applications in a regulated medical device environment. Beyond regulatory requirements, you will work closely with expert stakeholders and with developers of complex, computational geometry-based C and Python Applications deployed on the cloud as well as on desktop applications. This position is in Product Research and Development and the role includes management of software requirements from initial conception, documentation, and review through development, verification (SQA), and validation efforts. The successful candidate will have exceptional technical documentation skills, be detail oriented, flexible, outspoken, and articulate as well as have the ability to collaborate successfully with the software team (Development and Quality), cross-functional teams, and stakeholders. Depending on the expertise and experience, the position level can be adjusted anywhere from junior to senior level.

Role expectations
- Derive use cases and detailed software requirements from high level business and clinical goals.
- Closely collaborate with Product Management, Software Development, Quality, and Product engineering teams to ensure requirements are testable and unambiguous.
- Manage traceability and regulatory documentation for medical software.
- Contribute to architecture and software design decisions.
- Interview experts to build a consistent and comprehensive knowledge base
- Manage requirements across multiple software applications and take them through the release process.
- Create and continue to simplify internal processes so that they complement the company wide processes.
- Strong communication skills – clear communications with technical and non-technical audience.
- 5 years of Work experience in working with software requirements.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Highly Preferred: Hands on Experience with 3D printing and writing requirements for 3D/Geometry-based software
- Interest in learning the problem domain and sharing knowledge with the wider team
- Ability to work in a formal process and achieve high quality in every detail.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, or STEM Major, or equivalent years of experience – Engineering preferred
- Basic 3D math concepts.
- Experience in R&D environment.
- Experience with agile software development.
- Experience with cloud-based applications.
