The Align Quality Center of Excellence (QCOE) team is looking for a Jr. Software Engineer to join us in the US. In this role you will partnering directly with Quality Engineering team. You will work together with the leaders and peer stakeholders to help redesign our SDLC tool stack and build custom applications to continually develop and improve our SDLC, STLC, and related Quality Engineering processes.
You will work with other QCOE team members to create a harmonized Jira experience and automation to support Align's movement to a push-button deployment model. As a Jr. Software Engineer, you will need experience working within an Influence Without Authority model as you partner with leaders around the globe without direct reports.

Role expectations
- Develop tools, frameworks, and automatic solutions to improve Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and overall SDLC in the company
- Develop a harmonized Jira experience to facilitate uniformity of usage and minimize maintenance for future work
- Partner with DevOps engineers, and QCOE teams for both CI pipeline automation and application development
- Support the rebuild of SDLC tool stack utilizing Atlassian tools infrastructure (JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, Fisheye, etc) and other tools such as Aligned Elements (Requirements Management) and Zephyr Scale
- Work closely with engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members to design complementary solutions interfacing ServiceNow and other 3rd party systems to develop best of breed complete solutions.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders to secure support for your teams and the successful delivery of your team's priorities
- Learn, Grow, and Maintain Quality Engineering's strategy, ensuring alignment of the offering with team and larger business strategy and priorities.
- Support OKRs, KPIs, and metrics to ensure data-driven engineering decisions.
- Participate and promote a culture of collaboration, agility, and ownership within and across team.
- Own the solution and be responsible for feature delivery, quality, and performance of the solutions
- 2 years of overall web development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications or relevant education (BS/MS in Software/Systems related field)
- Solid knowledge of SDLC combined with practical experience working in agile teams
- Thorough understanding of the role and the place of SQA in SDLC, testing processes and methodologies, product, and process metrics
- Proved and tested ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels within a company and with those from diverse cultural background
- Ability to balance tasks, prioritize, and work well within a quick moving environment
- Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.
