Description
The API Management Platform team is looking for a Sr DevOps engineer with
substantial experience architecting AWS EKS infrastructure hosting applications providing platform functionality throughout the Enterprise, managing the infrastructure lifecycle for currency and vulnerabilities, and ensuring financial efficiency through FinOps Best Practices
Role expectations
- Design and Deploy AWS EKS Infrastructure for hosting Apigee Hybrid in multiple Global Regions through CI/CD and Terraform
- Ensure the Apigee Hybrid Deployment is properly protected by AWS WAF or other solutions adequate for mitigating DDOS and other threats
- Regularly upgrade Apigee Hybrid using a Blue/Green deployment model ensuring that currency is maintained for EKS versions
- Create dashboards that provide at-a-glance insight into the health of the Apigee Hybrid application and infrastructure as well as status relative to upcoming maintenance activities
- Participate in PagerDuty on-call rotation and respond to any incidents managing them within the prescribed incident/escalation processes
- Cross-train within the team to ensure our collective ability to back each other up
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related program; or equivalent experience in a related engineering discipline with 8 years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 5 years in DevOps; 3 years in AWS and EKS
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in speaking and writing English
- Atlassian stack: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo
- Splunk, SignalFX
- Service Now, PagerDuty
