ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process and oversee property tax payments to ensure timely and accurate filings.
• Manage the property tax appeals process, including coordinating with external advisors and legal teams.
• Maintain and track property tax parcels to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Oversee the preparation, filing and payment of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local tax regulations.
• Identify ways to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency when possible.
• Manage and maintain exemption certificates to ensure vendors receive proper documentation.
• Prepare, document and file annual state sales tax exemption reports to ensure accurate filings.
• Assist in preparing analysis for the annual budgeting process for property taxes.
• Assist with tax provisions, transaction analysis and restructuring support as needed.
• Partner and develop strong working relationships with internal teams to provide guidance on sales tax exemption eligibility and procedures.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. state and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in using various tax research and ERP systems.

• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA is a plus.
• 5 years’ experience in indirect tax compliance, including property tax and sales/use tax.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Oracle, Dashboards, and/or BI tools a plus.
