Duties
- Prepare and organize treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials.
- Take and develop X-rays as required by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Ensure all dental equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to aseptic techniques.
- Support front office staff with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
- Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and anatomy knowledge to assist effectively in various procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical documentation and understanding of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and procedures.
- Experience with X-ray technology and protocols SC X Ray License required
- Understanding of prosthodontics and endodontics procedures is preferred.
- Strong assisting skills to support dentists during complex treatments.
- Ability to adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
