As a Dental Receptionist you will be responsible for coordinating dental appointments with doctor schedules, coordinating insurance benefits, working with other health professionals, and helping patients schedule their appointments. A Dental Receptionist must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities include:
- Use of multi-line phone to make, answer, and direct phone calls.
- Monitor the schedule throughout the day to ensure that it runs smoothly.
- Work closely with the dentist and dental staff to schedule treatment in a timely manner according to urgency of treatment.
- Work with the dentist to determine options for completion or treatment.
- Other responsibilities as they arise
Requirements/Competencies
- Available to work various shifts during practice hours of 6:30 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday, 7:30-5 Sat/Sun.
- Knowledge of dental procedures preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Dental Software
- General knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients, parents, doctors, and staff, in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team setting.
