EFDA Dental Assistant

We are excited to announce we are looking for a part-time Dental Assistant, with front desk experience as well, who is an energetic team player!

We are a well-established private family practice located in beautiful Elmira. We have an excellent team environment led by an amazing Doctor and our focus is our patients and our team!

What you will do :

• Supports patient care by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
• Supports patient care by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients.
• Adept at pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts and fabricating aesthetically pleasing temporary restorations.
• Provides information to and educates patients by answering questions and requests.
• Cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Anticipates doctor's needs in set-ups, suction, and the passing of instruments and materials.
• Documents dental care services by thorough charting in patient records.
• Ensures OSHA compliance with the sterilization of instruments, dental equipment, and treatment rooms
• Contributes to team effort with an engaging and positive disposition
• Coordinates Treatment plans for patients
