DESCRIPTION
The Regional Surgical Coordinator plays a key role in the success of the organization with the primary duty to promote company services through excellent customer service. The role is responsible for meeting and greeting patients, scheduling and conducting consultations, scheduling procedures, follow-up visits and all facets of patient relationship management, data entry in the CRM system, and discussion and implementation of payment plans. This role is also responsible for outreach to support business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Surgical Coordinator Duties
Passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Must have outstanding relationship/customer service skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and grow.
Acts as primary point of contact for all client inquiries, education/counseling, as well as initial information gathering.
Provides patient education including, but not limited to, surgical technology, lens options, costs, and any pre-surgical preparation
Manages all communications within the CRM system, email, or other web-based systems including follow-up phone calls and correspondence required to maintain client relationships with the practice, promptly and in a patient friendly, customer service orientated manner
Communicates with all members of the team to assure continuity of care for the patient, including but not limited to, special instructions for surgeries or changes to surgeries that may arise after initial scheduling is complete
Schedules refractive consultations, procedures, and appointments post consultation
Schedules and conducts telehealth appointments
Responsible for following-up with and nurture existing leads as well as cultivate referrals from existing customers
Works closely with the Engagement Center on phone scripting and lead messaging
Provides messaging and campaign feedback to the Marketing team
Responsible for timely customer data entry in CRM system
Outreach Duties
Plan and manage community outreach and networking events.
Build relationships with local organizations and industry professionals.
Help develop and coordinate continuing education programs.
Partner with businesses and institutions to expand learning opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Bachelor Degree preferred
1-2 years of sales experience or customer service experience (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service
High attention to detail
Ability to maintain a professional appearance
Knowledge of electronic health record, scheduling system, and CRM is preferred
Familiarity with Google Workspace, specifically Gmail and Google Meet
Strong networking and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Comfortable with community engagement.
*While this position is in Des Moines, training will be completed in Omaha, NE.
