Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute revenue cycle strategies tailored to the unique of orthopedic practices, including supporting rapid growth and scalability.
- Collaborate with leadership and clinical partners to align revenue cycle goals with organizational and investment objectives
- Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle processes, including patient access, coding, billing, claims, and collections, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Implement advanced analytics and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop creative solutions to homogenize process and workflows
- Assist leadership with integration for new practice acquisitions, ensuring seamless onboarding and standardization of processes.
- Provide financial reporting and performance metrics, including insights on staff productivity, KPIs, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure full compliance with payer contracts, state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and applicable healthcare laws.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Build and lead a high-performing revenue cycle team across decentralized practice locations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, focusing on professional development and employee retention.
- Design patient-centered financial policies and procedures to ensure transparency and positive interactions.
- Address patient billing inquiries and disputes efficiently, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree for the right candidate.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years in revenue cycle management. Orthopedic practice experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in healthcare billing systems (e.g., Epic, Veradigm) and data analytics platforms. Familiarity with revenue cycle tools tailored to orthopedic care.
- Knowledge: Understanding of practice integration, healthcare reimbursement models, and payer contracts.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams across decentralized or multisite organizations, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reduction in accounts receivable (A/R) days specific to orthopedic services.
- Optimization of payer contract reimbursements.
- Patient satisfaction scores related to billing and financial transparency.
