In this role, you will work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing and monitoring behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles through 1:1 Direct Therapy sessions. Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 ABA services to children in-home
- Teach skills that allow individuals to meet their communication and functional goals
- Collect and record client data and complete clinical progress notes after each session
- Facilitate consistent implementation of behavior plans with families and other support staff (if applicable to the individual’s needs)
- Review behavior plans and instructional materials
- Develop and supervise the implementation of targeted interventions and ABA therapy
- Share in the achievements of your clients as they develop positive behaviors and learn new skills
- Provide caring support during family conversations to ensure parents fully understand assessment results and treatment recommendations
- Nurture the complex partnership between BT/RBT and the client by advocating for client needs, providing proper support to the BT/RBT, and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues with care and/or communication
- Mentor our growing team of full and part-time BTs and RBTs by utilizing your knowledge and experience in the industry to train, orient, and provide insight into various courses of action and methods of treatment
- Board Certification as an Assistant Behavior Analyst is required
- Current Maryland LBA certification required
- Prior experience as a BT/RBT working with clients in the home setting strongly preferred
- Experience working with challenging/aggressive behavior
- Desire to grow within the company and take on new challenges
- Strong skills in patient assessment and the application of Applied Behavior Analysis techniques
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance in all interactions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A compassionate approach towards clients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding
- Competitive hourly rates between $27 - $35/hour, dependent on experience
- Flexible working hours, with 50% of your schedule providing 1:1 direct therapy and the other 50% being remote mentorship/supervision of RBTs
