Requirements
We are seeking a Techno-Functional Analyst to support Capital Markets and Commercial Banking operations. This role is intended to replace a recently retired team member who had developed and maintained several custom operational tools critical to business functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise and domain knowledge in financial services, particularly in Capital Markets and Commercial Banking.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot a suite of internal operational tools developed using Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA, and Excel.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enhancements to existing tools and reports.
Ensure the stability and performance of tools supporting Capital Markets and Commercial Banking operations.
Support data integrations and automate manual processes wherever possible.
Document system processes, workflows, and technical designs for current and future tools.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance, and IT policies.
Act as a liaison between business users and IT, bridging gaps between technical solutions and business needs.
Required Skill Set:
Proficient in Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA, and Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros).
Hands-on experience with SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
Strong understanding of Capital Markets and Commercial Banking operations and workflows.
Experience supporting end-users and managing tool lifecycle in a production environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a large financial institution or banking environment.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements or risk reporting in Capital Markets.
Prior experience in a contract-to-hire or client-facing consultant role.
Work Environment:
Hybrid work model preferred (Remote flexibility with occasional onsite collaboration).
Collaborative team setting with cross-functional interactions across business and technical teams.
