Overview :
Excel in a dynamic, high-energy setting with a focus on rapid experimentation and iteration.Develop new products from scratch, transforming initial concepts into fully functional and launched solutions.Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to clarify and convert software requirements into scalable, efficient code.Incorporate cutting-edge technologies and industry advancements into the development workflow as suitable.Promote and uphold software engineering best practices, including code quality, rigorous testing, and long-term maintainability.Engage in the agile development cycle, contributing to task prioritization, sprint planning, and code reviews.Perform comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure applications meet functionality, performance, and security standards.Evaluate and enhance system performance, tackling performance issues and optimizing overall efficiency.Show leadership throughout the development lifecycle, cultivating a team culture where leadership is a shared responsibility.Requirements
Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly with full-stack development.Demonstrated success in creating complex and innovative software solutions from the ground up.Expertise in Agile practices, including backlog management and sprint organization.Deep technical knowledge, with the ability to discuss architectural decisions and engineering trade-offs.Skilled in front-end technologies and frameworks such as Vue.js, React, and CSS.Strong communication skills to ensure alignment within the team and with stakeholders.A user-centric approach to development.Results-driven, with the ability to excel in a fast-moving and uncertain environment.A blend of curiosity and humility, with a readiness to collaborate on diverse and challenging problems.Comfort with leading the development of new products in unexplored areas.A passion for creating impactful software with a commitment to social good.Additional attributes that would be exciting :
Experience in politics, progressive political technology, social impact, civic tech, international development, or related sectors.Enthusiasm for and experience in building new software solutions from scratch.Proficiency in back-end technologies like Python, TypeScript, Go, etc.Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAGs), and other AI technologies.Benefits
