What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Coordinator position at Alignment Financial Group?
SEEKING A TECH-SAVVY, SELF-DRIVEN ACCOUNT COORDINATOR
THE COMPANY: Alignment Financial Advisors is focused on serving clients by using financial tools such as investments, life insurance, annuities, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and retirement planning software to bring greater personal peace and inspire them to create the wealth they want and the income they need to live a more fulfilled life. We aim to create a better world by helping one client at a time to see wealth as a tool to better their own lives and the lives of others.
We are located in the office suites in the Southlands shopping area, near Smoky Hill Rd and E-470.
Alignment Financial Advisors is owned by partners Scott Graves and Ken Riewerts. Scott has been in the financial services industry for 14 years, while Ken has been in the industry for 10. They are insurance licensed in more than 10 states and are contracted with about 3 dozen insurance and investment companies nationwide.
The company is currently made up of Scott and Ken, owners and managing directors, and two administrative assistant positions performing various roles. This hiring will fill one of those administrative assistant positions.
The Role: We are seeking a tech-savvy, self-driven admin with excellent written and verbal communication skills to help us build our company. We are looking for that unicorn-type that is both detail-oriented as well as being able to think outside of the box to improve the efficiencies of tasks to accomplish their responsibilities. If you are looking for a company that gives you a lot of room to grow, plenty of advancement potential, and the opportunity to help create a company from the very beginning, this might be the right job for you.
We love processes! We believe that clearly defined steps help ensure consistency of service to our clients. You will be expected to follow the processes we have developed, and work to update and improve them through proposals to management. If that’s not for you, please don’t apply.
This person will be involved in conversations with clients and prospective clients, helping them to move forward with the sales process. They will be an inquisitive, strategic conversationalist that will be willing to ask questions and find out the real problem to help the client move forward.
Our clients are our friends. We treat them that way. We get to know them and their families. We learn about their priorities and preferences. We learn about their fears and their confidences, their past and their future. We learn how they want to change the world for the better, and we help them use their wealth as a tool to accomplish that. The advice we give them reflects their priorities, not ours. We treat them with respect and class and seek to give them that “wow” experience. Your work will have one of the most significant impacts on that goal.
This person will need to 100% own the tasks they are given. You will have very little supervision, but plenty of expectation. It will be up to you to help update and refine the processes we already have in place in order to help us do more in less time and with less effort.
That being said, there will be times your input, while appreciated, will not be used. We expect you will be understanding of this and be a cheerleader for whatever direction the company takes.
You will be submitting paperwork on behalf of clients to insurance carriers and investment companies. Accuracy is extremely important, as mistakes will slow down the process and make it hard for us to serve our clients in a way that meets the standards we have set for ourselves. We really need someone that is detail-oriented!
We would like someone whose strengths complement our own, not identical to our own. You will not fit into our culture by being the same as us. We will rely on your strength and expertise to take us further than we could go without you.
Schedule: This will not be a work-from-home position. This is a part time position, around 30 – 32 hours/week. Among the benefits we offer, you can set your own schedule to a degree. We ask you to be here, at least, Monday through Thursday 10 – 4, which comes out to 24 hours/week. The rest of the hours can be set at your discretion, but they will need to be consistent each week. In time, with proof of responsible and high-quality work, some additional flexibility with working hours will become available. The position could grow to full time by mutual agreement between you and us.
Our families are the most important thing in the world to us. We take time off to be with our families, and we want you to feel free to do the same. Time off will generally be approved with at least two weeks' notice. If there is an emergency in your family, we ask that you let us know with as much advance notice as possible, and it will generally be approved.

We know we don’t have all the answers. We want your input. If you are hired, it will be because we see your ability to contribute to the success and development of our company. We want you to bring your awesomeness with you and add it to ours to push us to be better.
