What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Specialist (1 Year Limited term) position at Alimentiv?
The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is responsible for supporting global full-cycle talent acquisition for the Alimentiv Holdings Companies. The TAS interfaces with a wide variety of stakeholders including: HR, people leaders, candidates, vendors, and partner organizations. In addition, the TAS contributes to the creation of selection materials, employer branding, onboarding, and special HR projects as required.
\n- 70-80% of the role is focused on the following activities:
Talent Acquisition
- Conduct high-volume full cycle talent acquisition including job qualifying, posting, sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Negotiate employment offers ensuring compliance with Alimentiv’s starting salary practices and pay equity.
- Coordinate with the HRG and/or the HRC to create employment agreements and facilitate references and background check verifications; Ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications for the role.
- Apply industry-leading techniques to source/engage passive and active candidates for current and future job openings at Alimentiv; create/maintain a pipeline of available talent for key opportunities.
- Champion a positive candidate experience for internal and external job applicants.
- Maintain knowledge of legislation that affects global talent acquisition practices; monitor regulatory adherence of HR policies and programs and contribute to new policy development.
- Act as a subject-matter expert providing talent acquisition advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor global talent subsidy/grant opportunities; facilitate applications with relevant authorities; track and report on successful applications.
- In conjunction with the MHR and hiring managers, create industry-supported, role-specific selection materials.
- Maintain detailed, accurate interview notes and status information in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date talent-tracking information, supporting talent reporting.
Talent Attraction
- Develop and maintain partnerships with employment-focused community organizations to attract diverse talent.
- Participate in various talent acquisition events including (but not limited to): professional and academic career fairs, networking, industry, and community events.
- Liaise with various talent acquisition vendors including recruitment agencies, and marketing/social media partners.
- Champion the internal Employee Referral Program including promotion, tracking, and reporting.
- With TA team, deliver the Early (Campus) Recruitment Program for assigned region(s); partner with internal stakeholders to identify academic programs & institutions suited to Alimentiv’s talent needs.
- Monitor and report market intelligence developments that could impact talent acquisition at Alimentiv.
Continuous Improvement and Processes
- Maintain awareness of new talent acquisition technology solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in talent acquisition processes to optimize efficiency.
- Support contingent resourcing as required.
Employer Branding
- In conjunction with the MHR, contribute to employer branding strategy, create/recommend content, and ensure alignment to Alimentiv’s marketing guidelines.
- Identify potential changes that would make the organization more attractive to prospective employees.
Onboarding
- Participate in New Employee Orientation.
- The remaining 20% of the role may involve the following:

- Support other HR projects/duties as assigned.

- Undergraduate university degree (Bachelor or Honours Bachelor), and 1-3 years' related experience with initial and on-going training
OR
- College Diploma/Degree, and 4-6 years related experience substantial on-going job -related training
Other:
- Specialty in Human Resources; CHRP/CHRL designation or working towards designation
- Knowledge of labour legislation in Canada, US and Europe
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Location: please note, preference will be given to candidates located in EST/AST time zones
$67,500 - $112,000 a year
