POSITION TITLE: Controller
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

Overview:
Alinabal, LLC, a precision manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors, is seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Controller to lead its accounting operations. This role is essential to driving financial clarity, optimizing processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
As Controller, you will lead a small but agile team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, managing compliance, and enhancing internal controls. You will partner closely with department heads and the CFO to implement meaningful improvements across cost accounting, cash flow reporting, and system efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings both tactical execution and strategic insight to the table.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Oversight
· Oversee month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
· Ensure integrity across the general ledger and financial reporting systems
· Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
· Partner with the CFO on board reporting, audit preparation, and long-range planning
Cost Accounting & Operational Alignment
· Oversee standard costing, job costing, and inventory valuation processes
· Collaborate with production and supply chain leadership to monitor variances and support margin improvement
· Drive continuous improvement in cost tracking methodologies and data visibility
Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Support
· Lead the annual budget process in partnership with department managers
· Provide financial modeling and scenario planning to support business decisions
· Track KPIs (e.g., DSO, DPO, cash conversion cycle) and recommend corrective actions
Internal Controls & Compliance
· Evaluate and strengthen internal control processes
· Ensure ongoing compliance with company policy, accounting standards, and audit readiness
· Coordinate external audits and manage the relationship with auditors
Team Leadership & Development
· Supervise and develop accounting staff, including AP/AR and general ledger functions
· Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-minded environment
· Support cross-training and succession planning within the finance function
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
· 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 years in a leadership or controller role
· Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required
· Expertise in GAAP, cost accounting, and financial operations
· Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Syteline experience preferred)
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
· Proven ability to balance detail with strategy, and execution with leadership
· Comfortable navigating change, improving systems, and elevating financial operations
Other Details:
· Work Environment: Primarily sedentary work, involving extended periods of sitting.
· Physical Demands: Primarily office work, with occasional light lifting (up to 25 pounds).
· Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours.
· Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
