Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the clinical laboratory setting, supporting various tasks related to specimen collection, processing, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with precision and care
- Utilize laboratory techniques for sample processing and analysis
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following aseptic techniques
- Assist in patient service by providing support during procedures
- Handle medical terminology accurately to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Support patient care activities under the supervision of laboratory staff
Qualifications
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and physiology
- Experience in venipuncture and phlebotomy is preferred
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques for specimen handling and processing
- Familiarity with medical terminology for effective communication
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide quality patient service
