Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as an L2/L3 support lead, troubleshooting API performance, latency, and security issue
- Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and escalation for critical API issues.
- Monitor Apigee API Gateway health, analytics, and logs to proactively prevent failures.
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and cloud teams to improve API performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks for support teams.
- Lead a team of API support engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Coordinate with Google Cloud Support for resolving Apigee platform-level issues.
- Must be ready for 24*7 on-call support
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6-10 years of experience in API support, preferably in Apigee or similar API Gateway.
- Strong knowledge of Apigee policies, security, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in log analysis using Splunk, ELK, or Apigee Edge Analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud-based deployments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and automation for API support.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a support team.
