Food truck chef and cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Truck Staff to join our dynamic team. As a member of our food truck crew, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving delicious food in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, including cooking and serving areas.
• Operate the POS system for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and monitoring expiration dates.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Handle bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining area for customers.

Skills

• Experience in culinary setting is required.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong sales skills to promote menu items effectively.
• Background in quick service fast food restaurants is advantageous.
• Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
• Understanding of food safety practices to ensure quality service.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
