The Alisal, a luxury 10,500 private acre working Ranch and Resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Irrigator I to join our team. This full-time position entails (but it is not limited to) Performing preventative maintenance on the irrigation system. Determining wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads. Properly inventorying and stocking all irrigation parts and tools in order to minimize down time. Maintaining working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements. Operating, maintaining, and repairing a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, computer and irrigation control wires. Reporting any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Assistant Superintendent and maintaining a daily log of completed repairs. Prioritizing irrigation breaks and using time efficiently. Conducting monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the entire golf facility. Routinely inspecting irrigation system components to ensure system is operating at optimum performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Irrigation systems experience, preferably at least 1yr.
Working knowledge of irrigation systems, parts, and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Highly motivated, goal driven, and self-starter.
Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.
Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
Skilled at multi-tasking, heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.

Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 50 lbs.
Able to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
Ability to work outside, indoors, in varying temperatures.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States post offer, pre-employment.
Must have current and valid CA Driver's License for operating company vehicles.
Conditional offer subject to criminal background check and DMV record review.
Open availability to accommodate full-time schedule and willing to be available after hours and/or on weekends and holidays as needed.
PAY AND BENEFITS
Position pay starts at $21.50/hr.
