Alisal, a luxury 10,500 private acre working Ranch and Resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Manager to join our Stewarding Team. This full-time, salaried exempt position manages the daily kitchen utility operations and staff. Areas of responsibility include dish room operations, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, banquet plating and food running. Supervising kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking (e.g., dishwashers, kitchen helpers, etc.). Monitoring the inflow of materials, conducting china, glass, and silver inventories. Controlling equipment, supplies, and work areas to ensure efficient service and commitment to standards. Enforcing proper cleaning routines for service ware, all culinary and stewarding equipment, employee dining room, all surfaces, floors, etc. Establishing and executing proper use and cleaning of all dish room machinery. Verifying all food holding and transport equipment are in working order. Supporting Culinary and Food and Beverage departments in any way necessary to meet the needs of Alisal guests. Supervising employees and providing leadership, vision, and direction to bring them together and prioritize departmental goals. Achieving performance targets, budgets, and long-term company objectives.

- 3-5 years hospitality experience in a management capacity, ideally in Stewarding, Culinary or comparable role.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly desired.
- Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.
- Experience with CA labor laws; timekeeping; reading, and utilizing financial statements.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees.
- Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
- Skilled at multi-tasking, heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 50 lbs.
- Able to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
- Ability to work outside, indoors, in varying temperatures.
- Must be able to present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States post offer, pre-employment.
- Must have current and valid CA Driver's License for operating company vehicles.

- Position pay starts at $70,000/yr.
