What You’ll Do:
- As a Dispensing Pharmacy Technician (IV Specialist) at AlixaRx, you will:
- Prepare IV medications using aseptic techniques in a sterile environment.
- Fill daily prescription orders, including punch cards, bulk items, OTCs, and sterile preparations.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of IV hoods and sterile preparation areas following USP <797> standards.
- Manage medication inventory, including restocking IV supplies and components.
- Ensure compliance with regulations for sterile compounding and handling of hazardous medications.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and managing shipments of medications and supplies.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and support team goals in a fast-paced environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; state licensure or registration as required.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of pharmacy experience, including IV compounding (preferred).
- Skills: Proficiency in aseptic techniques, knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards, and basic computer skills.
- Qualities: Detail-oriented, team player with strong organizational skills and a commitment to patient care and compliance.
