Position: Behavioral Health Technician | Footprints to Recovery - Aurora CO | Part-Time Sunday Night 6pm-6am
Footprints to Recovery’s approach to drug and alcohol treatment and medical detox is simple; we listen and make use of new methods, research, and activities to assist in recovery. Every individual presents with a different story that is unique to him or her. From the first contact to individual, group, or family sessions we work with our clients to develop a personalized plan that addresses each client’s needs. We are looking for a dynamic Behavioral Health Tech to support clinical and non-clinical staff as well as building administration in the provision of technical and auxiliary clinical services to ensure comprehensive and effective daily programming and functionality.
Job Duties:
- The Behavioral Health Technician collects, monitors, and documents urinalysis samples and breathalyzer screenings
- Send out daily email communications to clinical staff
- The Behavioral Health Technician monitors and maintains inventory of all supplies and storage closet, and advise supervisor when supplies are due to be ordered
- Responsible for monitoring clients throughout hours of operation, including a walk-through of the building every 15 minutes as assigned
- The Behavioral Health Technician serves as support to staff and patients, facilitating skills groups for patients in milieu
- The Behavioral Health Technician documents in the patient medical record within mandated timeframes
- The Behavioral Health Technician supports patients in their recovery, chaperoning patients to outside meetings and events to ensure community connection
- The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the cleanliness of the building
- Ensure compliance with Federal Regulations pertaining to client confidentiality
- The Behavioral Health Technician schedules and provides transportation in accordance with transportation policy and procedures
- Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles
- The Behavioral Health Technician maintains travel logs and vehicle safety checklists
- Provides local transportation of clients
- The Behavioral Health Technician provides backup support for reception needs
- Monitors and oversees the use of the computers
- The Behavioral Health Technician provides support to clinical staff and medical staff
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Current CPR certification
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly
- Must have a strong ability to multi-task
- Must have knowledge of all Microsoft Office suites including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge in the field of Substance Use Disorders
- Experience with EMR’s (Electronic Medical Records)
- CNA License
Salary : $18 - $22
