As a remote-first company, this position can sit in Plano, TX or remote in the US.
Position Summary:
As a Compliance Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting our Senior Manager of Compliance. Your role focuses on managing regulatory changes, including monitoring for updates, reporting, and communication. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, manage action plans, and assist with the maturation of the Regulatory Change Management program. This fully remote position is designed for a regulatory management professional with a strong legal background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the continuous maturation of the Regulatory Change Management program
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of regulatory requirements applicable to the organization
- Provide guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory matters
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization and recommend necessary adjustments in our product or processes.
- Monitor and report on the regulatory environment including regulatory actions, proposed regulatory changes, etc related to fintech, banks or credit unions that may impact our industry
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in regulatory compliance
- Assist with the development of internal policies as needed to address regulatory changes.
- Contribute to the cultivation of awareness, accountability, and responsibility within Alkami.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or a strong legal background and 3 years relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations within the financial services industry
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office and advanced report writing skills.
- Experience in legal research and writing
Desired Skills:
- Keen attention to detail, a high degree of urgency, and a healthy degree of skepticism.
- Strong passion for excellence and a pragmatic approach in collaborative environments.
- Experience in leading discussions around regulatory interpretation with various stakeholders.
- Experience using GRC tools (Ex: Ncontracts, Venminder, Maple Street)
- Proficiency in Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence).
- Experience in policy writing
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence
