As a Licensed Agent working in our Arcata, CA office, you will be responsible for selling Medicare & individual health insurance products to eligible individuals, providing valuable information about the available plans, and assisting clients in making informed decisions about their healthcare coverage. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicare regulations & individual health insurance, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements
Client Consultation: Conduct in-depth consultations with potential clients to assess their healthcare needs and determine eligibility for Medicare plans. Explain the features, benefits, and coverage options of various Medicare plans to help clients make informed decisions.
Compliance: Stay updated on changes in Medicare regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance with all relevant laws. Adhere to ethical standards and company policies in all sales activities.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty. Follow up with clients to address any post-sales inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork for Medicare applications. Maintain detailed records of client interactions and transactions.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including underwriting and customer service, to ensure seamless processes for clients.
Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through various channels, including referrals, community outreach, and networking. Utilize marketing materials and strategies to attract potential clients.
Qualifications:
Licensing: Active CA health insurance license. Medicare certification (AHIP) and Covered California Certification are highly desirable. This can be obtained during the first 3 months of employment, if necessary.
Experience: Experience in Medicare sales and Individual health sales or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software, insurance carrier sites, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
