The Accounting Intern will play a key support role within the Accounting Team, assisting with daily and monthly financial operations. This position will provide hands-on exposure to core accounting processes including bank reconciliations, tax filing support, invoice matching, and documentation prep. Ideal for students looking to gain real-world accounting experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations by comparing transactions across bank statements and the general ledger
- Assist with invoice reconciliations by matching vendor bills to internal records and resolving discrepancies
- Support the preparation of tax paperwork and filing support for state and federal returns
- Organize and maintain accounting documentation for audits and compliance
- Enter and review transactions in the general ledger system
- Assist with month-end close tasks, including journal entry support and schedule updates
- Help prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external review
- Maintain organized records for payroll tax, sales tax, and corporate filings
- Participate in special projects related to financial data cleanup or process improvement
