RESPONSIBILITIES

The staff will assist individuals with daily personal tasks, provide emotional support, and help meet personal goals. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and flexibility, while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Personal Care:**

- Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

- Help with household chores to maintain a clean, safe environment.

- Ensure clients feel safe and comfortable while attending to personal needs.

2. **Emotional and Social Support:**

- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients.

- Provide compassionate care, sensitive to the emotional and psychological needs of each individual.

- Offer opportunities for clients to meet their personal goals throughout the day.

3. **Health and Well-being:**

- Follow person-centered and behavior plans as written.

- Ensure a safe, harm-free environment, upholding the rights of both individuals.

- Accompany and transport clients to medical appointments, advocating for their needs.

4. **Meal Preparation and Shopping:**

- Assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation according to dietary needs and plans.

- Follow meal guidelines as directed by the house manager.

5. **Community Involvement:**

- Assist in planning and accompanying clients on community outings.

6. **Administrative Tasks:**

- Document all services provided for individuals.

- Maintain timely and clear communication with co-workers, managers, and guardians.

**Requirements:**

- **Skills and Experience:**

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with clients.

- Ability to think quickly, adapt, and react to clients’ changing needs.

- Experience with personal care and household tasks is preferred.

- Proof of insurance and excellent driving record is required.

- **Character and Behavior:**

- Compassion, patience, and sensitivity toward emotional and psychological needs.

- Commitment to upholding clients' rights and ensuring their safety.

- **Professional Expectations:**

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
