Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospice care, senior care, and trauma centers. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by delivering essential nursing services and ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Hours will be every Friday 7AM - 10PM, Saturday and Sunday 7AM-3PM
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments and medications.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of patient conditions and treatments using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment plans, and medication administration.
- Assist in the operation of neonatal ventilators when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards to maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in hospice care or working within a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices and medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment.
