Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team of healthcare professionals. Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of CA.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a behavioral health, psychiatric, or residential treatment setting preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles, psychotropic medications, and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with compassion, empathy, and respect.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and medication management to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and Medical Director (MD).
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Overseeing the self-administration of prescribed medications and monitoring residents for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Perform routine nursing procedures, such as vital sign measurements, COWS/CIWA Assessments, PAWS Assessments, etc. in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including medication administration records, progress notes, and incident reports.
- Monitor residents' overall health status and communicate any changes or concerns to the treatment team promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), therapeutic interventions, and crisis management as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, treatment planning sessions, and staff training activities to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Adheres to IMS and Detox protocols including, but not limited to:
- Obtaining medical histories
- Monitoring health status to determine if status warrants transfer to higher LOC
- Testing associated with detox from alcohol and drugs
- Providing recovery-related services
- Records client observations and activities in client record accurately and timely, in accordance with established protocols
- Screens and provides first response to pregnant and post-partum mothers, obtaining health history, TB screens, contagious diseases, medical issues, and making referrals when necessary
- Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions
- Follows all policies and procedures related to DHCS, HIPAA, and Joint Commission, as well as nursing care guidelines based on State and Federal guidelines

Salary : $26 - $29
