All American Pet Resorts New Bern in New Bern, NC is looking for one overnight kennel technician to join our 16 person strong team. We are located on 4146 Dr. M.L.K. Jr Blvd. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities
SCHEDULE
Required to work weekends, holidays and peak boarding times as requested
Must remain at resort for entire shift
DUTIES
Able to communicate resort amenities and policies, answer phone cheerfully and respectfully within three rings,
Performs AM pet feeding and medication administration according to pet needs following protocol of checking off all pet services on ipad
Perform last PM walks and first AM walks of every dog in the facility
Switch cats to play area every two hours
Gives dog baths according to schedule and ensure pet safety in tubs and dryers.
Perform nightly walkabouts and act on any issue immediately
Responsible for pet resort security while on duty
Follow all kennel pet care protocol and take emergency action when necessary including transporting pet to emergency vet when necessary
Ensure that kennel and grooming supplies are replenished
Ensures that kennels and floors are clean and free of standing water
Ensures all kennel operations such as cleaning, dishes, laundry and grooming and cleaning supply replenishment are completed prior to day shift takeover.
Reports broken or malfunctioning office, cleaning or kennel equipment to day shift manager
Performs PM play yard cleaning and sanitation according to protocol
Check pets into the resort on the computer ensuring that feeding, medication and belongings are entered.
Check pets out of resort on the computer ensuring that invoice is correct.
Ensure that all customer communications are clear and grammatically correct
Qualifications
Must know dog body language and behavior and be able to distinguish routine dog behavior from aggressive or abnormal behavior.
Must be able to describe dog behavior correctly .
Must be able to move pets safely inside and outside building and be able to move pets to and from group play
