Description
The Security Officer will report directly to the Security Supervisor and indirectly to the Director of Corporate Security. Departmental responsibilities include enforcing directive of All-American Ruidoso Downs LLC, the New Mexico Racing Commission, the New Mexico Gaming Control Board, state and federal regulations and statues, within either racing or casino operations under the direction of the Security Supervisor. Additional responsibilities include; conduct fixed post/area assignments or patrol assigned areas; issue citations or make on the spot informative corrections regarding regulatory or safety issues; secure and collect physical evidence through proper Chain of Custody procedures; testify as necessary before the New Mexico Racing Commission, the New Mexico Gaming Control Board and the Board of Stewarts hearings as well as civil/criminal court proceeding; control crowds, vehicular traffic, prevent criminal activity and maintain peace and order; and control access/egress to restricted areas and protects life and property through enforcement of safety policies.
Qualifications
Must be legal to work in the United States and at least 21 years of age. • Good physical condition. • Good moral character and reputation. • Must be able to obtain a New Mexico Racing Commission and/or a New Mexico Gaming Control Board License. • Must obtain required licenses/permits and meet/maintain qualification standards for physical restraint. • Must demonstrate the ability and skills required to communicate both verbally and written. • Must demonstrate abilities to organize and supervise multiple assignments. • Must be able to function rationally and calmly under stress and extreme situational emergency conditions. • Being bilingual is preferred but not required.
