If you are looking to be a part of a rewarding work environment and atmosphere of excellence; we are looking for a Food Manufacturing Quality Assurance Lab Technician to be located at our 70,000 square foot facility in Denver, Colorado. Job responsibilities will include conducting micro analysis, organoleptic evaluations, HACCP checks daily, as well as working with production to ensure SQF compliance. Quality Assurance checks as well as reviewing and maintaining accurate and complete documentation.

This position has an hourly pay range of $23-$27/hr. Other benefits provided include subsidized health care, retirement, paid time off (PTO), and any other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes.

All American Seasonings has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the Company may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on any protected status

The regular schedule is 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Does regular daily line checks on plant floor to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed.

· Follow Good Lab Practices by performing lab cleanup and keeping work area clean, operating and maintaining lab equipment in good working condition.

· Responsible for Finished Product Evaluation including input of product information, sensory evaluation for color and taste and documentation of results, analysis of data and generation of finished product reports.

· Responsible for microbiological testing/documentation of finished and in-process products; interpret the results and retest/report abnormalities as needed; generate standard report of results.

· Responsible for planning, setting up, and carrying out microbial, environmental and allergen swabbing and analyses per schedule.

· Perform key activities that include metal detector checks, weight verifications, temperature checks, preoperational inspections, calibration of equipment, internal facility audits.

· Conduct routine inspection of processing areas including documentation to ensure that all documentation is present and correct and that all areas comply with sanitation requirements.

· Works closely with the Sanitation department to correct and improve deficiencies found.

· Manage the laboratory operations, maintain lab equipment and supplies.

· Must be able to evaluate physical properties of ingredients and products

Additional duties and various projects as needed.

Qualifications

· AA or BA preferred, would consider GED with comparable experience working in food production or manufacturing environment.

· Experience working in a SQF certified, HACCP compliant facility and other safety programs and procedures highly desired.

· 1 - 3 general work experience required

· Must be accurate and precise in testing procedures and mix formulation calculations and have a keen sense of odors and flavors

· Must possess strong oral and written communication skills

· Must have ability to work in a team environment.

· Must possess basic computer skills; knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs required. Knowledge of MS Office preferred

· Proficient problem-solving skills and capacity to make timely decisions.

· Must be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision, and see a job through to completion.

· Must be able to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and mathematical calculations.

· Must have the ability to read, comprehend and follow technical instructions, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and/or other employees of the organization.

· Must have the ability to prioritize and organize.

· Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

· Must have the ability to demonstrate superb decision-making ability to determine best course of action in assessing test results

· Must be able to work with chemicals

· Must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds

· Must be able to work in and around loud noise levels, industrial machinery, air-conditioned environments suitable for carrying out controlled

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
