Job Summary:
The Field Superintendent will oversee all phases of a construction project. The Field Superintendent will need to be in satisfactory physical condition to fulfill the Bonafide Occupational Requirements of the role. This role requires extensive walking, lifting, reaching, bending, crouching and various other physical activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Oversee job sites for contractor success.
• Responsible for organization of end-to-end installations to ensure readiness and completion.
• Communicate and enforce safety procedures and site rules.
• Liaison between clients, departments and field contractors.
• Oversee quality control in field.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project.
• Collaborate with other staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
• Coordinate and schedule the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
• Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness; prepare and provide progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
• Collaborate with pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met.
• Ensure specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
• Actively walk job sites daily to quality inspect and possibly troubleshoot situations both.
• Monitor budget throughout the project and communicate variances as they occur.
• Maintain records related to costs and inventory.
•Address any safety violations or other deficiencies.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
• Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
• Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or experience in related field preferred.
• At least four years of experience in building trade required.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
•Must be able to walk extensively in all types of weather situations, climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, bend, crouch, lift and any other activity that may include hammering, measuring, squatting, carrying loads, assisting contractors.
*Must be able to lift 75lbs

Accounting, or related field required.
• At least four years of experience in building trade required.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
