JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Counter Salesperson for All American Truck & Auto Parts is the face of our organization. This role is responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner, building rapport by providing information, giving recommendations and communicating with the highest level of integrity. This person is the first point of contact for our customers and should be someone who understands the auto industry, vehicle parts and is comfortable working with customers over the phone and in person. The Counter Sales role will be responsible to follow through with prospects to close business and generate revenue, while creating, building and maintaining customer relationships.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Transact with customers on the phone and in person
- Collecting contact information accurately
- Collecting parts request information accurately
- Identify customer needs
- Provide value and solve problems
- Utilize and establish vendor relationships including selling and ordering new and used parts
- Develop relationships with customers
- Provide exceptional customer service with a great attitude
- Input data accurately into software
- Team engagement; participating in team meetings, daily training, collaboration
- Outbound calling
- Writing purchase orders
- Handle money and credit card orders for in person, over the phone, and online customers
- Daily training on our online platform is required
- Other duties as designed

- Posses advanced knowledge about auto parts, vehicle operations and the automotive industry

- Must have organized approach to workload with proper follow through
- Effectively communicate team members, management, and customers in both verbal and written format
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals and procedure manuals
- Ability to maintain positive attitude while working in a fast paced environment
- Remarkable organization skills
- Ability to quickly navigate margins calculators and basic arithmetic skills in order to write estimates and provide quotes
- Professional conversation skills to communicate effectively with another person
- Computer navigation skills intermediate or better
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- GED or High School Diploma preferred
- Minimum 2 years of auto parts sales experience required
- Minimum 3 years customer service experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, or walking
- Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, shop
environment, and cold or heat for up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
