What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Kennel Assistant/Animal Caretaker position at All Animals Veterinary Hospital?

We are looking for a strong candidate with a happy personality to learn about and work with animals. Kennel attendants provide daily care, feeding, cleaning and exercise of boarding and hospitalized pets. We are a full-service hospital which includes medical care and surgery, dentistry, boarding and grooming. We need someone who is interested in working in all fields assisting both the technicians and doctors while maintaining the hospitals cleanliness. He or she pays close attention to pets' status such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention. A kennel attendant must pay close attention to details, understand and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets.
This is a fast paced job that requires heavy lifting, bending, walking and being on your feet most of the day. Hospitals cleanliness and sanitation, as well as animals comfort and health are priorities of the job. You will be cross trained to work in different positions and weekend availability required. Client services, office procedures and client communication is also involved.

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
