What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installers position at All Campus Security?
Job Purpose:
Install, program, maintain, or repair security or fire alarm wiring and equipment. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Specific Essential Functions:
- Install CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion hardware cabling and other forms of cabling as technology continues to evolve.
- Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras, and alarm points to any system.
- Assist in performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty.
- Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems and/or equipment.
- Responsible for updating team lead on the status of all work performed on a daily basis.
- Notify team lead daily of any materials needed to complete duties.
- Perform additional Security Technician and related functions as assigned by the team lead and deemed within the general skill and ability level of a productive Security Technician in our industry.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion, installation & programming for such systems as Axis, Video Insight, MonitorCast, Honeywell, Infinias, RS2 and S2.
- Required to adhere to OSHA Safety Standards.
- Required to possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during course of employment.
- Obtain and keep up-to-date clearances: Federal clearance with fingerprinting and TX DPS Private Security Installer Pocket Card.
- Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Pre-Employment Background Check.
- OSHA 10-hour certification will be made available to each employee.
- Lift Safety Training certification will be made available to each employee.
- Receive professional and technical knowledge by attending manufacturer training, seminars, conferences, etc. when made available by manager.
- Attend all team training and safety meetings.
- All employees will be required to pass all background checks, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to safely lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Required to lift 25 lbs. over your head.
- Required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms
- Will frequently be required to walk, sit, and use hands to pull cables and wires, use power tools, work in various positions, and climb ladders and/or scaffolding.
- Positions requires the necessary vision to work with small, color coded wiring.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud on occasion and employee may be exposed to outside weather elements.
- Must be able to work out of town, up to 75% of the time.
- Position requires technician to participate in an on-call rotation schedule. Technician would be available to answer client calls after normal working hours and on weekend/holidays depending on the rotation order.
