- 401(k) match up to 4%, and more!POSITION OVERVIEWThe Dental Assistant is a member of the dental team whose primary responsibilities are to prepare patients for a visit, check-in and check-out patients and schedule appointments and reappointments.SCHEDULE AND PAYThis is a full-time (40-hour) position.Clinic Open : Monday - Thursday 8AM - 7PM, Friday 8AM - 5PM. The pay depends on experience, and the range is between $18-21 / hour.DUTIES
- Prepares, cleans, and sets up operatories for patient appointments
- Takes and mounts dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepares sterile instruments and equipment
- Prepares patients for their appointment and discharge as well
- Asks about patient's medical history
- Takes blood pressure and pulse
- Performs dental assistant duties per provider workflow and practice
- Provides and assists with patient discharge
- Provides patients with instruction for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedure
- Registers patients for appointment, if necessary
- Assists with documentation for accurate billing and chartingQUALIFICATIONS
- Active Dental Assisting Certificate in the state of Iowa
- Iowa Radiology Certification, or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire
- Sterilization Certification a plus
