What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time RN position at All Care Home Health?
Up to 30 hours per week. Hours will vary Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM.
Qualifications
Education: An ADN or BSN from an accredited College of Nursing, current Georgia nursing license.
Certifications: Current GA RN License, CPR training with card.
Summary of RN role
The All Care Home Health RN will provide services to our clients and will strive to provide these services in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion. The All Care RNs role will include but is not limited to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients’ status, plan of care, and goal achievement. The All Care RN will try to compromise when scheduling with the client and with All Care creating a “win – win” situation. The All Care RN understands that by accepting an assignment, the nurse is aware of the potential exposure to internal and external hazardous materials including but not limited to blood and blood borne pathogens, infectious/communicable diseases, noise, excessive physical injury from patients, airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
Duties/Responsibilities/Functions
As an All Care Home Health RN you will perform your job duties according to the DCH Rules while upholding the utmost ethical and safe techniques, always taking care of the individual as your top priority. You will work closely with the entire team at ALL Care Home Health and must have a complete understanding of your limitations, seeking advice when necessary. The following are some of the duties that are required of your job, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state DCH Rules and State Laws specific to GA, while also adhering to All Care facility policies and procedures.
- Perform routine nursing care to assigned individuals, while utilizing age specific, universal precautions, and hand hygiene/infection prevention precautions.
- Monitoring of individual’s progress and identifying any changes in status, acting on those changes to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Assisting and communicating with physicians and all Healthcare Professionals.
- Training/education of individuals and their families as well as training/education of All Care employees as assigned.
- Actively demonstrate a working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice to holistically care for the individual.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistently seeking to broaden knowledge base.
- May be required to lift 50 pounds or more. Job requirements may cause you to perform stooping, bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting.
- Will be familiar with medical equipment and the safe use of each as well as being able to use the equipment.
- Must be able to perform sensory requirements such as: vision, speech, smell, touch, manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hearing to assess and treat each individual accurately.
- Punctual and dependable for all assigned shifts.
- Responsible for creating and updating health care plans for assigned individuals.
- Responsible for conducting weekly assessments and supervisory visits to all assigned individuals.
- Oversight of documentation/MAR for completion and accuracy.
- Communication with pharmacies pertaining to medication orders, ensuring MARs are up to date with current MD orders as assigned.
- Taking call as assigned.
- Responsible for reporting directly to the Director of Nursing.
- Following chain of command for reporting of grievances/complaints.
- All other duties as assigned.
